We’re honored to share that Holy Brook Accountants has been awarded Employer of the Year as part of University of Reading’s Internship Scheme 2025. What makes this award even more special is that we were nominated by the interns who worked with us.
It means a lot to know that the support we gave helped them grow and feel confident in their future careers.
What the Award Represents
The Launch and Celebration event brought together interns, employers, and university staff to recognise the hard work and progress made through the scheme.
This award is a reminder of the importance of giving students the space to learn and contribute. Supporting our interns this year has been a privilege to see them grow in confidence, take on new tasks and start building their career.
Why Internships Matter to Us
We know how hard it can be to figure out your steps after university and internships can help bridge that gap. At Holy Brook, we do our best to offer useful experience and support, from offering training and certifications to interns helping with live client work.
It’s also an opportunity for us to learn from their new ideas, fresh perspectives and honest feedback, creating a feedback loop for both us and the interns.

A Huge Thank You
To our amazing interns: thank you for putting us forward. You made a real impact while you were with us, and we’re pleased to have been part of your journey. And thank you to the University of Reading and the internship scheme team for putting together an amazing program. We’re proud to be involved.
Thinking of Taking on an Intern?
If you’re a small business or charity based in Reading, we’d recommend becoming a part of the Reading Internship Scheme.
Interns can bring in fresh ideas, ask thoughtful questions and give a helpful extra pair of hands. It’s also a great way to support someone at the start of their career. For small businesses there is a grant that helps towards the cost, and for charities the majority of the cost is covered.
Our experience is that team that run Reading Internship Scheme makes the process easy to manage and well supported, and you can learn more about it here:
