Small Business Saturday Spotlight: Walk Works

Dec 6, 2025 | Blog

This weekend is Small Business Saturday, a campaign that celebrates the 5.5 million small businesses across the UK — from local shops and cafés to creative start-ups and service providers.

At Holy Brook, we work with so many inspiring small businesses all year round, and this week we’re especially proud to feature one that brings people together in a very special way.

Spotlight on Walk Works

This Small Business Saturday, we’re celebrating one of the brilliant small businesses we work with at Holy Brook: Walk Works – a business that’s helping people get out into nature without the stress of getting lost.

We also love their mission:

We started Walk Works because we wanted people to enjoy walking in the woods and not get lost in them. No deciphering maps or fiddling with apps – just gorgeous local countryside and a safe, easy way to explore it”

They’ve built more than just walking routes, they’ve created a welcoming environment. Whether you’re a busy profesional needing a proper break from your desk or a team looking to reconnect and feel in touch with nature, their guided countryside walks offer fresh air, connection, and calm.

How Can You Support Them?

Their request is simple:

Come for a walk.

Join one of their events, experience the benefits for yourself, and help keep their small business going strong. Word of mouth goes a long way too, so if you know someone who could use a walk and a mental reset, send them their way!

Small businesses like this are what makes our communities special, and we’re proud to be supporting them.

Why Small Businesses Matter?

Small Business Saturday isn’t just about one day of shopping. It’s about recognising the businesses that bring colour, connection and creativity to our communities all year round.

We’re proud to work with clients like Walk Works, and we’re here to support small businesses with finance, reporting, and practical advice that helps them thrive.

If your business shares that same sense of purpose — and you’re looking for an accountant who understands what matters to you — we’d love to work with you.

Drop an email to Rachel at rachel.eden@holybrook.com to start the conversation.
