Meet the Team: Sabina Reed

Meet the team, Sabina Reed shares some information about her ideal client and what she likes to do outside of work. As we have not been able see our clients and network face to face for a while we thought we’d help you get to know us a bit more with our occasional ‘meet the team’ series

1. What do you do

I’m a bookkeeper and the team leader for Holy Brook.  I support the team with any queries and help with onboarding new clients as well as regular bookkeeping tasks, vat returns and payroll for several clients.

2. Why are you a Holy Brook Associate?

I enjoy bookkeeping and working for Holy Brook Associates allows me to work flexibly around family commitments. I like working with like-minded people.  We all enjoy what we do and understand that work can fit around family life or other commitments.

3. What do you like most about working/living in and around Reading?

I grew up mainly in Reading and most of my family live in Reading so I love being close to them. I also like the links we have to London, Bristol and other major towns and cities, we are quite central but also have the beautiful Cotswolds on our doorstep.  We have the best of both worlds and we are also not too far from the sea.

4. Who or what would be your ideal client or project?

I love getting to know clients and what they do to help support their needs.  We often hear ” I don’t understand that side of things” and that’s why our motto ‘helping you do things better so you can do better things’ really resonates.  I’ve worked for large corporate firms to small one-man bands and understand what can work for one company may not be suitable for another that’s why it’s really important to get to know the client and what they do.

5. What are your favourite things to do outside working with Holy Brook?

I’m a very creative person outside of Holy Brook.  I enjoy making silver jewellery which I’ve just started selling.  I also enjoy sewing, knitting, crochet, baking, exercising – I walked up Snowdon last year.  I’ve recently learnt how to make glass beads which I’d like to practice more of in the future.  I also sing with Rock Choir and have performed in a few stadiums including Wembley and have also recorded a song at Abbey Road Studios.
