Could you join our team?

Exciting news – we have a bookkeeping job opportunity available. As a growing accountancy practice based in central Reading we are looking for a new bookkeeper or part qualified accountant.

The role

Your role will involve caring for a dedicated portfolio of clients on a regular basis as well as supporting year end processes and some ad hoc work.

Key tasks will include bookkeeping, producing quarterly VAT returns, and some payroll work.  You will be involved in onboarding and setting up new clients to enable them to have effective systems and year end processes.

You will be working remotely at first due to the Pandemic. However, in the future we would expect you to work primarily in our central Reading office, with some home working also available.

About you

If you have a customer facing and flexible approach and good communication skills as well as the technical ability to do the job you will fit right in.  We care about our clients and community and are passionate about ensuring we give them an excellent service – this is a bookkeeping job where you can really make a difference.

We will require either qualified bookkeeper status or AAT level 3 or would consider a part qualified accountant.

Experience of working in practice will be a strong advantage.

It is beneficial but not essential that you have a good working knowledge of Xero and experience of either micro-company or charity accounts would be a bonus.  However full training and support will be given.
